Confused? We understand.

Several months ago, we were contacted and informed we could no longer use the name, " The Londoner", for our restaurant. The individuals  decided to no longer honor a years-old agreement. Rather than fighting with what would have been an extremely expensive lawsuit, we decided the better option would be to re-brand. After several weeks of deliberating, we chose to go a slightly different route with the re-brand. As the Smiling Dog, we will continue to offer all the things Baton Rouge has come to expect from us: Fish and Chips, Shepherd's Pie, soccer on the telly and a packed World Cup. We will to open up the possibilities for our future by letting go of the exclusively British theme.  We hope to bring our guests a more Louisiana pub experience by bringing in a slate of new dishes with a local flair. Our beer offerings will focus more attention on local breweries and local craft beers.

We understand this change might upset some of our guests and we do apologize. Hopefully, our new atmosphere will become a favorite of yours in the near future. To all of our guest past, present and future, we appreciate your business and are thankful that you have allowed us to be part of the Baton Rouge community. We look forward to many more years of serving you.

Cheers!
